STORMWATER
Weiler Engineering (WEC) is very experienced in the design and permitting for stormwater facilities. We have successfully obtained numerous permits from the SFWMD and we have developed a constructive relationship with regulatory personnel that allow us to streamline the permit process. We have the design professionals with experience in stormwater management, erosion control, hydrology and hydraulics, with expertise in the numerous computer simulation program models that assist with stormwater design. Some representative stormwater projects include:
· Village at Hawks Cay (Monroe County)
The Village at Hawks Cay is a hotel/condominium resort in Marathon, Florida. The project includes a hotel, 247 condominium units, park areas, tennis, and basketball courts, walking and bike trails, docking facilities, a boat ramp and a convention center. In addition to the utilities and stormwater management facilities, it was necessary to design extensive vehicle access as well as a series of sidewalks and crosswalks to accommodate the heavy pedestrian traffic. WEC provided complete site design and permitting services for all phases of the project. Also, WEC was responsible for a complete redesign and permitting of the reuse system used to irrigate the resort.
